We arrived in Winterborne Whitechurch in November 2024, right in the thick of storm Burt. Snow blanketed everything, and we found ourselves slipping and sliding as we carried boxes into our delightful new home, laughing all the way.

As fate would have it, I noticed a charming advert seeking committee members. Fuelled by equal parts curiosity and excitement, my husband and I decided to venture out to a meeting, despite the winter chill still nipping at our heels. To our delight, we were greeted by a wave of friendliness and genuine warmth; it was impossible not to be swept up in the vibrant energy of the room.

Without hesitation, we signed up on the spot, eager to roll up our sleeves and immerse ourselves in this wonderfully welcoming community.

We are looking forward to meeting and making lots of new friends.

Hello everyone, I’m Natasha Deeney, but feel free to call me Tash. I moved to the village in 2018 with my husband Liam. We have since had our daughter, Clara who is now 6 years old. We always wanted to live in a lovely little village and bring our daughter up with a true sense of community. We came across Winterborne Whitechuch one day, and that was it – we were sold on this amazing village. I have been on the committee for the past couple of years and then took on the role of Chairman in Sept 2025. I am very excited for the year ahead for the hall. We have a very enthusiastic committee with lots of ideas …. so watch this space!

If you are interested in joining the committee or have an idea for an event, please feel free to pop along to one of our monthly meetings (details are in the what’s on tab) or send us an email.

‘The Hall is for All’ so please do come and support your hall’s events. We look forward to seeing you.

Our General support Committee members are vital to the success of Winterborne Whitechurch village hall, as their dedication and expertise ensure the smooth running of key operations. By taking on specific responsibilities that match their individual strengths, they help guide the group towards its objectives. These members actively engage in discussions, offer valuable insights during decision-making, and willingly step up to tackle tasks whenever needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for all. we could not do it with out you.

When I asked Chris for a quote to pop by his photo on the committee page, he shot back: mean, moody (though honestly, I’d say he’s more marshmallow than menace) and doesn’t take prisoners. In truth, he’s the village’s best-kept secret—out there mowing lawns, taming hedges, and launching himself into local life with all the enthusiasm of someone who’s just discovered Yorkshire Tea on special offer. He doesn’t suffer fools gladly (he’s got a zero-tolerance policy on nonsense), but you’ll struggle to find anyone with a bigger heart—or a more impressive security detail for his last chocolate digestive.
